Frozen

Wow, what a time we have had.  An October ice storm that left us without power for almost 2 weeks.  Fortunately for us Mike's condo was not affected so he stayed warm and toasty.  We just piled our bed with covers and fortunately it didn't get too cold at night.  So we survived.  We also got lucky because a friend of ours told us to put dry ice in the freezer to keep everything frozen and thank goodness it worked.  We didn't lose a thing.

So just in time we were ready for the election,  or at least to listen to the election results which of course are not yet final.

In addition to all this commotion our computer finally just bit the dust.  But my sweet husband surprised me yesterday with a new laptop.  I'm still getting used to it but so far I really like it.

Oklahoma, like many parts of the country, is seeing record numbers of daily COVID cases.  Our hospitals are at capacity and patients are being sent out of state for care.  It is a serious situation.  Our Governor refuses to issue a mask mandate and unfortunately people continue to not take the virus seriously.  I'm hoping (if Biden is the new President) that he will take some immediate action to address the lack of nationwide efforts to reduce the infection rate.  Our Republican Governor certainly won't do it on his own.

I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy!  Hoping for better days ahead!
